BIGBANG, GOT7 Among The Winners In KpopStarz 2015 Best Of K-Pop Awards

The results are in and it's time to announce the winners of our end-of-the-year Best of K-Pop Awards!


In a last-minute upset, BIGBANG's "Bang Bang Bang" walks away with the "Best K-Pop Song of the Year" award. Coming in with 22.03% of the votes, BIGBANG's multi-award winning song garnered 0.92% more votes than second, place winner 2PM's "My House" which finished out with 21.11%. With 14.15% of the votes, EXO's "Love Me Right" managed to take third in this highly heated race for the top.

Falling to fourth, GOT7's "Just Right" brought in 10.98% of the votes, while BIGBANG's "Loser" managed to jump to fifth with 9.45%. While holding steady in fourth for almost the entire duration of the voting, BTS' "I Need U" ultimately drops to sixth with 9.16% of the votes. Comin in seventh, Girls' Generation "Party" took home 3.89% of the votes while Super Junior's "Magic" remained in eighth, with 1.98% of the total votes. Coming in ninth, SHINee's "View" walked away with 1.33% of the votes and Jung Yong Hwa's "One Fine Day," closed out the Top Ten with 0.9% of the total votes.

Though GOT's "Just Right" may have fallen to fourth in the "Best Song" category, the group itself managed to walk away the victor, taking home the title of "Best K-Pop Group of the Year." With 25.51% of the votes, GOT7 came in 0.17% higher than second place group, BIGBANG, who came in with 25.34%. Falling to third, TVXQ walked away with 20.13% of the votes to round out the Top Three.


With 15.88% of the votes, BTS managed to keep hold of fourth from the very beginning while the once ranked first, 2PM, ultimately fell to fifth, bringing in 6.81% of the total votes. Girls' Generation closed out the polls with 2.59% of the votes, which was enough to secure them sixth while CNBLUE made an impressive jump from thirteenth to seventh, as they claimed 0.72% of the votes as their own. Falling one place to eighth, SHINee brought in 0.66% of the votes while VIXX finised out in ninth with 0.37%. With o.35% of the votes, iKON managed to claim the final position within the Top Ten.

Walking away with the title of "Best K-Pop Artist of the Year," Jung Yong Hwa made an impressive last-minute play for the crown by bringing in 26.22% of the votes. With 25.6% of the votes, GOT7's Jackson walked away with second while BIGBANG's G-Dragon took third with 12.13% of the total votes.

Falling to fourth, TVXQ's U-Know Yunho finished out with 9.32% of the votes while 2PM's Nickhun brought home 6.95%. With 3.76% of the votes TVXQ's Max Changmin walked away with sixth while 2NE1's CL made her one and only appearance in the Top Ten to claim seventh with 3.63% of the votes. Falling to eighth, GOT7's BamBam takes home 1.8% of the total votes while 2PM's Wooyoung drops to ninth with 1.1%. Making her first and only appearance in the Top Ten, Ailee managed to grab tenth place by bringing in 1.02% of the votes.

Having taken first from the very beginning, it's no surprise TWICE takes the crown in the category of "Best K-Pop Rookie Group of the Year." Coming in with 29.64% of the votes, JYP's rookie girl group managed to keep a significant lead over the competition up to the end. Coming in second with 24.53% of the votes, iKON made an impressive play for the top but fell just short of the crown. Walking away with third, SEVENTEEN closed out the polls with 23.07% of the total votes.

With 12.55% of the votes, DAY6 took home fourth while Monsta X finished out in fifth with 4.01%. Coming in sixth, UP10TION walked away with 2.24% of the votes while N.Flying remained in seventh with 1.27%. G-Friend took eighth with 1.17% of the votes, while CLC finished out ninth with 0.96% and Oh My Girl took home tenth with 0.56%.

With an exciting 2015 year and promotion nearly behind us, the addition of idols’ album sales has been published revealing which 10 idols has shown monetary success.

SM Entertainment idols EXO, SHINee, Super Junior, and Girls’ Generation took over four of the spots in #1, #3, #4, and #5 respectively with YG Entertainment‘s BIGBANG coming in #2.

Others include BTS in #6, VIXX in #7, INFINITE in #8, GOT7 in #9, and IU in #10.
