Seungri Shares Why He Thinks BIGBANG Will Still Survive Without Him On “Infinite Challenge”

BIGBANG’s Seungri recently talked about how he thinks the group will still be as successful without him.

The December 17 episode of MBC’s “Infinite Challenge” featured all five members of BIGBANG as their guests for the day.

During the “Honest Talk” segment, the members were asked to press a button if they thought that BIGBANG could not survive without them. Seungri revealed that he didn’t press the button, saying, “Even without me, it’ll be okay because BIGBANG is BIGBANG.” MC Yoo Jae Suk then took the conversation on a sudden swerve into comedic territory by asking him to repeat it in Mandarin, a follow-up from a previous segment where he showed off his acting skills in various languages. Seungri was taken by surprise, but still pulled it off fluently.

He then said in Japanese, “The members all have their own unique characters, so even if I’m not around, they can still make fans happy with their individual charms,” showing off his excellent language skills.

But when asked to express the same sentiments in English, the singer cracked everyone up when he replied, in his usual Seungri-style, “BIGBANG has five members…. business.”

Meanwhile, this is the 10th year since BIGBANG’s debut, and coincidentally the fifth year since their last group appearance on “Infinite Challenge.” The group last made a guest appearance on the “Gangs Of Seoul” episode in 2011.

BIGBANG Is Hilariously Realistic (But Not Exactly Helpful) About Secret To Beating Infamous “7-Year-Curse”

BIGBANG

On the December 17 episode of MBC’s “Infinite Challenge,” BIGBANG pulled out all the stops and showed off their variety chops once more.

During the program, the cast members asked BIGBANG if they have any tips on how to beat the infamous “seven-year-curse,” referring to how idol groups tend to lose members or disband all together after about seven years.

Taeyang truthfully revealed that even they started getting tired around the seventh year, and how there was even a time where members had built up grudges but didn’t really talk them out.

Meanwhile, Daesang bluntly stated, “The reason we were able to surpass the ‘seven-year-curse’ is probably the amount of money that we make as BIGBANG…”

“Furthermore, around the seven-year mark, we embarked on our world tour. So even if we had grudges…,” Daesung hilariously remarked. He added that they instead came to the conclusion, “That’s right, we should work harder.”

On the other hand, Seungri commented, “The leader had a big role in how long we’ve lasted,” to G-Dragon’s embarrassment.
