[Article] T.O.P to play a hopeless romantic in new web drama with Juri Ueno

After the success of his latest film Tazza 2, BIGBANG’s T.O.P has already lined up his next acting gig. He will be starring alongside Japanese actress Juri Ueno in an as-yet untitled web drama.

The untitled drama has just confirmed its main actors and is preparing to move into production. The format will be a web mini-series and the drama will be aired during the second half of this year. The setting will be locations in both Korea and Japan. T.O.P will take on the role of Woo Hyun, who has painful memories of his first love but still believes in romance. Juri Ueno will play Haruka, who also has a painful past but still wants to fall in love. The couple will find new love together after overcoming past painful memories. 

T.OP. has been recognized for his acting skills in Iris and Tazza 2, and Juri Ueno is one of the most popular female stars in Japan because of her starring role in Nodame Cantabile. The drama is expected to be a huge hit in Asia due to the collaboration between Korea and Japan.
