Circle Chart (formerly known as Gaon Chart) has published its midyear charts for the first half of 2025!
As the midyear chart results are based on accumulated weekly data since the beginning of January 2025, albums and songs released earlier in the year have more weekly points included in their scores.
SEVENTEEN topped the midyear physical album chart with their latest album “HAPPY BURSTDAY,” followed by ENHYPEN’s new mini album “DESIRE : UNLEASH” at No. 2.
IVE’s “IVE EMPATHY” came in at No. 3, RIIZE’s “ODYSSEY” at No. 4, ZEROBASEONE’s “BLUE PARADISE” at No. 5, BOYNEXTDOOR’s “No Genre” at No. 6, NCT WISH’s “poppop” at No. 7, i-dle’s “We are” at No. 8, aespa’s “Dirty Work” at No. 9, and PLAVE’s “Caligo Pt.1” at No. 10.
The top 50 albums on the midyear chart (listed with the number of copies recorded) are as follows:
Two years after its release, WOODZ (Cho Seung Youn) topped the midyear digital chart with his belatedly viral 2023 B-side “Drowning.”
aespa’s “Whiplash” took No. 2 for the first half of 2025, followed by Hwang Karam’s “I’m Firefly” at No. 3, BIGBANG’s G-Dragon’s “HOME SWEET HOME” featuring Taeyang and Daesung at No. 4, BLACKPINK’s Rosé and Bruno Mars’ “APT.” at No. 5, IVE’s “REBEL HEART” at No. 6, ZO ZAZZ’s “Don’t you know” at No. 7, BOYNEXTDOOR’s “IF I SAY, I LOVE YOU” at No. 8, G-Dragon’s “TOO BAD” featuring Anderson .Paak at No. 9, and Rosé’s “toxic till the end” at No. 10.

The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for individual idols!
The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community awareness indexes of 1,730 idols, using big data collected from June 23 to July 23.
BTS’s Jimin continued his reign at the top of the list this month with a brand reputation index of 8,183,409, marking a 17.16 percent increase in his score since June. High-ranking phrases in Jimin’s keyword analysis included “Who,” “cake fairy,” and “ARMY,” while his highest-ranking related terms included “unparalleled,” “unrivaled,” and “unchanging.” Jimin’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 94.05 percent positive reactions.
BIGBANG’s G-Dragon rose to second place for July with a brand reputation index of 6,056,259, marking an 8.39 percent increase in his score since last month.
BLACKPINK’s Rosé climbed to third place with a brand reputation index of 5,780,067, marking a 10.98 percent rise in her score since June.
BTS’s Jungkook held onto his spot at fourth place with a brand reputation index of 5,131,314 for July, while BLACKPINK’s Jennie came in at a close fifth with a score of 5,080,586.

BIGBANG’s G-Dragon has been named a promotional ambassador for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit!
On July 23, South Korea’s Prime Minister Kim Min Seok announced the appointment by tagging G-Dragon’s account and writing on Instagram, “Introducing the promotional ambassador for the APEC summit.”
Prime Minister Kim Min Seok said, “I’m pleased to share good news with the people,” adding, “We are appointing G-Dragon, one of South Korea’s leading artists who has consistently shown creativity and innovation, including transmitting music into space, as the promotional ambassador for the APEC South Korea 2025 in Gyeongju.”
He continued, “With 100 days left until the summit, I hope you will follow the synergy between G-Dragon and the APEC summit starting today.”
G-Dragon recently released his first solo album in seven years, “Übermensch.” The album features hits such as “POWER,” “Home Sweet Home,” “Too Bad,” and “Drama,” underscoring his enduring influence as a K-pop icon. G-Dragon is also currently partaking in PHASE 2 and 3 of his 2025 world tour “Übermensch.”
