Yang Hyun Suk Says YG Will Take Legal Action Against Malicious Commenters

YG Entertainment head Yang Hyun Suk has declared that the agency will be taking legal action against malicious commenters.

On February 5, Yang Hyun Suk took to his personal Instagram account to post a screenshot of two comments written by iKON fans. Both fans had requested that Yang Hyun Suk take legal action against malicious comments attacking iKON.

Yang Hyun Suk added text to the bottom of the image, writing, “I strongly agree with the fans’ opinions. Tomorrow, I will give the YG legal team a special assignment and bring in attorneys who specialize in this area. After gathering evidence, we will move forward so that we are able to severely punish habitual malicious commenters.”

He also added in the hashtags, “All this time, it wasn’t that we weren’t able [to take legal action], we simply chose not to,” “I have the type of personality where once I make up my mind to do something, I have to see it through,” and “To the fans of all YG artists, I request [that you send us] evidence from now on.”

In the first comment featured in the screenshot, a fan wrote, “Father on the 7th floor, please sue and report the malicious commenters. Both iKON and iKONICs [the name of iKON’s fan club] are suffering. [The commenters] keep doing it even more because YG doesn’t sue them. Please, I ask this of you.”

The second fan similarly pleaded, “It’s too painful, Father… I really think it’s taking a toll on my mental health. Please sue them. We’ve already gathered all the evidence, so please do it. It feels like I’m dying. Father, I beg of you, it’s painful for us iKONICs, but it must be even more painful for the iKON members. Seeing them suffer makes it even harder for the iKONICs, and seeing us suffer makes it harder for the iKON members.”
