Actress Song Da Eun has expressed her position on the speculation that she might have something to do with the Burning Sun incident because of her friendship with Seungri.

On March 16, her label Ianent posted an official statement that reads as follows:

Hello, this is Ianent, actress Song Da Eun’s agency.

First of all, Song Da Eun has nothing to do with this series of events related to Burning Sun. The public has misinterpreted the fact due to her friendship with Seungri, but it is a groundless rumor. Now, due to these speculations, Song Da Eun is also suffering from material and mental damage.

Again, regarding the Burning Sun issue, Song Da Eun is not related at all.

We are collecting data on those who write and disseminate malicious or false information through internet postings or comments. If the act of defaming the actor’s reputation and character continues, it will be legally dealt with. We will continue to do our best to protect the rights and interests of our artists.

As allegations continue to surface against Seungri, he has announced that he’ll request to delay his impending military enlistment and fully cooperate with ongoing investigations. On top of his KakaoTalk group chatroom controversy where illegal clips of women were shared with Jung Joon Young, Choi Jong Hoon, and others, Seungri is also facing accusations of gambling overseas, providing sexual escort services to business partners, and evading tax.
